Who is she?

Myrtle Anne has helped hundreds of companies to benefit and transform their businesses to disrupt, adjust or scale by utilizing the latest technological tools, products or helping to build from scratch.

Block Tides is an Award-Winning Blockchain, Crypto, Defi, NFT, IoT, AI, and Metaverse PR Firm Block Tides (Marketing, Growth Hacking, Sales, Social Media Management, Giving opportunities to people, Media Distribution Services, Investor Relations, Public Relations) Official Influencer of CoinMarketCap.

PlaceWar on the other hand is based on a decentralized BEP-20 based strategic game with highly engaging artillery gameplay. The task of the players is to defeat their rivals to win resources and earn money from it. As a reward for achievements, players receive a cryptocurrency: an in-game token $PLACE, which can be used to earn money or buy new land on the PlaceWar marketplace.

PlaceWar will enable players in content creation through the system named Pixel. Each player can create a design for their land, tanks, defenders, buildings, maps, and even game modes. In addition, through PlaceDAO, players can vote for updates and changes to the rules of the game. This is how PlaceWar creates a new culture of interaction between gamers, designers, and users interested in the development of the metaverse.

What made you decide to be a part of Block Tides & PlaceWar?

“My humble beginnings and experience started in the BPO Industry, took a leap of faith, and started as an Investor Relations for a startup project similar to Spotify but blockchain-based last 2017 while doing side gigs doing social media content and management. I know crypto since 2015 and have been investing with some startups as well, one guy entrusted me to organize an Asian tour for Blockchain startups, it all started from there, and the magic began. As a partner and Co-Founder of Asia Token Fund for 5 years, we’ve gathered all resources when it comes to PR. Marketing by connecting through offline and online events to help projects stand out and be successful in the crazy world of Blockchain and Crypto.

When it comes to PlaceWar, I and my team come up with the idea to produce and make PlaceWar even before the hype of GameFi or Play-to-earn. Attending events in crypto since 2017, jumping from one country to another, I believe in the idea of making a game and earning from it. I am a gamer since I was a kid, from Family Computer, Nintendo, Playstation, Computer Games to Mobile Games, I was an ambassador as well hosting tournaments before for League of Legends here in the Philippines, and yes that’s where we’ve come up with our Metaverse game, PlaceWar which can easily be played by anyone, no age restriction.”

What is a typical morning at work?

“Being an entrepreneur for 5 years, my daily routine goes like crazy like crypto. Crypto never sleeps.

  1. Starting my day without a phone, just meditation
  2. Doing Production and Marketing Planning, attending meetings
  3. 7:00pm is my coffee break wherein me and my mom always go drive-thru at Starbucks
  4. Planner – to make my life and work organized and balance
  5. Daily gratitude – 10 things to be grateful for today

My schedule is volatile like crypto, so it depends on which campaign I’ll work on. Sometimes, I sleep until 9 AM and wake up in the afternoon. Sometimes, I sleep early if there’s a lucky chance that all deadlines and tasks are done.”

What are some of the challenges of the job?

“Challenges are overwork, overthinking, and making a campaign very successful. My solution is always meditation.”

What were some of the life lessons which you have learned along the way in your career?

“You are not too late or old to chase your dreams.

Tips and lessons:

  1. Not everyone will be part of your journey, you are not for everyone

  2. Peace with self is the key

  3. Don’t mind other people’s opinions of you, they will not pay your bills and they will not give you the life that you want to achieve/manifest

  4. Don’t meddle with other people’s life, care about yours

  5. Always ask yourself, is this going to contribute to the life I want to have?

  6. The best investment is YOURSELF and worthy people

  7. Anything is possible. When you can imagine it, it will happen

  8. Always put God first in everything that you do, having a personal relationship with Him is the best thing you can ever have”

Best advice someone has given you in life?

“The one who gave me the best advice is the one whom I met in Dubai, that fear is only in the mind it’s the enemy and the illusion.

The moment of fear can lead you directly to a feeling of confidence, trust, relaxation, forgiveness, and acceptance – whatever positive reaction you need to have in relation to the fear. View fear as an alarm or wake-up call that you need some strength, acceptance, confidence, or trust to move forward and achieve your goal.”

As the CEO & Founder of Block Tides, Co-Founder of PlaceWar, what motivates you personally?

“I am a single mom and it is my daughter and my family. If only one can tap the ultimate limitless power within themselves, they can co-create beautiful things.”

Do you ever face biasness in your work and position because of your gender?

“Yes – I was never promoted when I was on the corporate ladder. I experienced being ignored because I am a woman in an event. Instead of having grudges against those people, not just in work but in life, I transmuted the negative feeling into a life lesson and always ask myself, “Is this the person I want to be? Is this the attitude I want to portray to other people?” Instead, God showed me the way that I can be an entrepreneur and that I will never be like them that can lead people by equipping them with a solid foundation that they can be anything in this life by empowering and motivating them.”

If I was not an Entrepreneur, I would be a _________?

“Stewardess. I have always loved travelling. It makes my perspective broaden and get to know different cultures.”

Any inspirational quote for all the women in business & leadership out there?

  1. “Your mind always believes everything you tell, feed it with faith, hope, and love.”
  2. “Change is not something that comes from the outside. It is something that comes from within, it is something that must start within ourselves. Be the change.”
  3.  “Your voice is important. Your dreams matter. You are enough. You are worth it.”
